The little girl had to get glasses. They came in today. She's not very happy about it but tonight when we turned the t.v. on she remarked "wow, I was blind"... she even thinks it makes things look brighter...
The funny part of this is that she used to take her sisters glasses (she has actually lost them) or my glasses and want to wear them all the time. She even told me that she thought she looked better in glasses... that was until she needed her own... I think she's afraid of what kids at school will say tomorrow...
She was very, very particular about her frames... they had to be very fashionable and trendy and a designer frame was her first choice... If I picked a pair up to show her she would not even consider it... I really didn't know about the black frames that "everyone has now", but they are cute one her... the pictures don't do her justice, they were taken without her permission... did I mention she is mad...

Hi Cara - I'm your swap partner and thanks for visiting my blog and writing to me. Don't worry I won't forget! Your blog is great and it's great to "meet" you even tho it's in blogworld. Just the fact that you have a dog named Elvis (I share his birthday, the date not the year!) means that I like you already! I also luv the Pioneer Woman and have made a couple of her things as well. If there's something from Phoenix you'd like, please let me know!
Peace and Luv,
Jeannie
She looks adorable. Two of mine wear glasses and they were both amazed at how well they could see after getting them.
She looks adorable - great choice of glasses for her! I love the trendy frames like that too. I actually wear vanity glasses at times because I wish I could wear them - I know it's silly, but quite true. (o:
She looks very cute. I have black frames like that too!
I didn't know black frames were "in". Shows how much I know! :-) Tell her that she really does look cute and having glasses adds another layer to her personality. I always wanted them so people would know I could be serious about some things.
Also, I wanted to say, Jeannie, I was Cara's swap partner in the fall and let me tell you, she's awesome! Me and my girls still haven't gotten over the altered notebook she sent me. I use it as my "spiritual notebook" that I carry with me everywhere!
Hi Cara, yes I am very excited to be moving to Cleburne. I so happy that I will be closer to our kids & Grandkids. I think your daughter looks adorable, and of course stylish. Both of our kids had to wear glasses at a young age. My daughter also hated them. My son started wearing them at age 3, and he wore them all the time b/c he could actually see with them on! We got him contacts when he was 11 or 12? not sure. Anyway she looks great! Hugs***Renea
I think the glasses look great on her. She is a very pretty girl. My youngest daughter did the same thing with my glasses. She even had the black plastic ones with the nose and eyebrows, she had me cut them off and she wore those around. She looked like Harry Potter. he he Now she too has her own glasses but loves them.
Enjoying your blog.
Hugs, Bobbi Jo
